Is it really free for couples?
Yes — Stead is free while we are in early access, and that includes saving together. There is no billing in the app yet: no plans, no card, no trial clock.
Can we keep some things private?
Yes. Accounts start private, and transactions and goals can be marked private — you choose what a partner sees. (Quick saves are the one exception; a linked partner can see them.)
What if only one of us is keen?
No problem. Stead is fully solo-friendly. One of you can start today, and the other can join whenever they are ready.
Is our data safe?
Yes. It is encrypted at rest, with field-level encryption on your email and display name, never sold, and yours to export or delete any time. Full detail on the security page.
